I am Sue Taylor Perez, an artist from Nebraska. I have 3 grown children, Heather 30, Meghan 27 and Sean 24, and 3 grandchildren Angel 5, Kohl 3 and Logan 1 1/2. I recently aquired 5 more younger children when I married Ed in Feburary, who is 12 years younger than I am. My step children are Tyler 21, Zach 19, Cory 17, Katelynn 15 and Jacob 12 and the two older boys have added two more grandchildren Alexis 1 1/2 and Taten 9 months. I am blessed to have been able to add teenagers to my life again, I am serious, I really like teenagers. They're so interesting. {although puzzleing at times}
Currently I only have one dog, a rescued, timid little Springer Spaniel, Gypsy. This is rather odd for me because I have at times had as many as 130 animals residing with me including; dogs, cats, horses, goats, calves, pigs, poultry, rabbits, parrots, ferrets, racoons, reptiles, fish and other small critters. This is probably one reason that I enjoy painting animals in much of my art. I have also had various jobs and unusual experiences in my lifetime, which could explain the wide assortment of subjects that I include in my work. If it sounds like fun I'm usually up for trying something at least once!
My art work on line is mainly colored pencil drawings. I have displays in several galleries that include; oil paintings, acrylics, watercolor, pastels, pen & ink, pencil, collage, pottery and jewelry. I love to try new mediums. I teach classes and give pastel workshops. I am a member of the North Platte Art Guild where I have served as president since 2006. I am the director of our annual Nebraskaland Days Competiitive Art Show.
I sell mainly aceo cards online. What are aceo's? They are a miniature size work of art in any medium or subject, 2 1/2 by 3 1/2. It stands for 'Artists Cards, Originals and Editions' There are several places on line that you can view and purchase my art. My user name on e bay is artistsuetaylor.
My user name on etsy is also artistsuetaylor and I recently started a jewelry shop there under suecorcoran [ my maiden name ]
Thank you for visiting my shops and for looking at my art. My joys of painting and drawing are multiplied in the sharing of my visions with others. A saying from Abraham Maslow states " A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write - if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What one can be, one must be. " May you experience peace within yourself.
