Zibbet Zibbet

I bet you've heard of Etsy. (THE place to find all things handmade) And, I wager you've at least heard about ArtFire, even if you don't have a storefront. (The FREE place to see handmade) But are you familiar with Zibbet?

Zibbet is a community if artists and crafters.

Zibbet is what the love child of Etsy and ArtFire would look like! (OK, so you know I love it)

My store is artbybelle there, stop in and say hello, browse around and get to know the place. If you like what you see try it out, it's FREE!

They have a NING ring for chatting and posting with groups and more. There are offers, deals, and ideas galore! So what are you still reading this? Get over there and check it out for yourself.

Zibbet is fun, FREE for basic, and if you need more, $9/month. That's pretty competitive for as user friendly, supported, and integrated as this site is...

Thanks for reading. Don't forget to post your zibbet store links!

Amother Round Robin

This is the second out of eight aceo's finished by our group in round robin fashion. They are going to be put in a very cool and unique book and auctioned off on ebay with the proceeds going to help Haitie.
This one was started by Mary Fox. Looks like purple sparkly ribbon, doesn't it?

Then it was sent on to Lisa Parker, who added the cute flowers and butterflies. Lookin' good!

On to Brenda Thour (that's me : ) so I added the cedar waxwing.

Our lovely Myrna Migala added the final touches, with the musical notes. I love how it turned out!

To find more artwork by members of my DAWG team to to

Meet Casey

Today I'd like to introduce you to Casey. Casey is an 18" doll and the second porcelain doll that I created. He has a porcelain head and hands, his body is cloth stuffed with batting and "body beads". His outfit was made especially for him by a lady that I was directed to by my doll instructor, I wish I could remember her name. She did an excellent job on the outfit - the doll and the outfit are both reproductions. The little train that Casey is holding was made for me by a dear friend that loves to do woodworking.

Just how cute are these shoes, they are 2 3/4" long.

Last but definitely not least is Daisy - she would not leave me alone until I took her picture also (the flash made her close her eyes).

Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me today.

Garden Girl......

...where did this garden girl go?  Well I made a mad dash to the house. You can tell it was me because I left the hat behind! LOL  I have been trying to work on my spring planting but every time I do, it rains. What's with that?

I know we need rain for the plants to grow but I'll never have plants planted at this rate.  I did manage to get a few bigonias and salvia in. Oh and my tomatos, pepper, cucumber & strawberries but there are pots with Peonies and fox glove waiting for the next sunny day.

So RAIN RAIN GO AWAY....so Joann can plant her stuff today!

The ACEO pictured to the left is available in my new Zibbet Shop. Drop by and Check it out:  http://www.zibbet.com/ArtByJYWheeler

Round Robin

We decided to do a Round Robin and create aceo's. What is a round robin? Well it's where a person starts an aceo, then mails it to the next person to work on, who mails it to the third person to work on, who then mails it to the 4th and last person to finish it. So it is a collaboration of artists to create a unique, one of a kind aceo. We have 8 people who signed up, so we created 2 groups of 4 people. This is just one of the beauties that is now finished. This is the finished artwork, now back to the beginning.

Lisa Parker Started this aceo.

I added the palm tree.

Myrna Migala added the beautiful rainbow.

Then Mary Fox put the added the final touches of the waves and sunshine.
Now isn't she beautiful?
This is a mixed media and we are planning on auctioning them off on ebay, with the proceeds being donated to Haitie. There will be 8 aceo's in all, and they will be put together in a
very cool and unique book.

The Third day of the Beautiful Month of May

Sunday, Mother’s Day; although I wish all mom’s a very Happy Mother’s Day, I really want to talk about Father’s day here on this blog.

Why? Because I also want to plug my Greeting cards I have been creating and right now “Father’s Day” (according to GCU) is the most popular keyword searched. GCU are initials for Greeting Card Universe, an online, print on demand (pod) web site.

If you haven’t ever purchased from GCU, you might consider a purchase from them for several reasons. Namely the quality of the cards is superior, you can find the perfect card, personalize it yourself by writing your own inner verse, and then add the name of the person you plan to give your card to. Also you are making the day of a fellow artist, when they discover something sold from their online store. Yeah!

I have been having fun creating Father’s Day cards utilizing the many images in my computer of watercolor paintings in the format of art trading cards, sold online in the past. I take the image and combine it (sometime) with digital art, other times I just use the image as is, without digital art enhancing.

Below are a few of my Father’s Day cards that are in my GCU store; I plan on adding a few more as time draws nearer and nearer to Father’s Day.

In order to see a better image of the card it is suggested you click on the image, that will take you to my store, once there you can also browse the entire GCU web site.

This one below is a pirate ship, card designed for wife giving to husband in mind:

These are only a few of the many Father's Day cards available right now on this online print on demand web site.

Order 10 cards or more & pay (NOT $2.79) but only $2.49 per card - use code MAY249CARD at checkout - ends May 10th
