The SketchBook Project 2011

I finally decided to make the commitment to join The Sketchbook Project 2011.

What is the Sketchbook Project?
"It's like a concert tour but with sketchbooks."

Who are the organizers?

This project is organized and run by The Arthouse Co-op

Participants are asked to pay $25.00 at sign up, and they will be sent the official sketchbook that they are to complete in a chosen theme (themes to chose from are listed on the website).

The Sketchbook:

Anyone - from anywhere in the world - can be a part of the project. Thousands of artist sign up to be a part of this project. What happens to the sketchbooks you finish and return to the organizer?

"Thousands of sketchbooks will be exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the country.

After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be barcoded and available for the public to view."
